Edje demo on N800: application launcher mockup

This is a demo I wrote today to demonstrate Edje running via a 60 line python script. The edje file itself is about 190 lines and kind of simple, yet complete in features.

Code can be found at http://www.enlightenment.org/viewvc/e17/proto/python-efl/python-edje/examples/evas-demo/

    Way cool!
the UI looks very responsive. Forget about FSF and go do some programming!

Cool! Do you plan to produce a new app launcher?!

    Cesman,

No, I don’t. This is only an application launcher _demo_ (that doesn’t launch anything), it demonstrates how easy is to write eye candy applications using Evas, Edje and others Enlightenment Foundation Libraries (EFL), so _others_ can write those things.

If you try it yourself, you’ll notice:
    – it starts fast! (even being python)
    – it runs fast! (even being python)
    – UI is totally script/theme, Python UI doesn’t specify any position or size, everything is up to theme. Python application just listen for “clicked” signals and emit “unselect” (possible this last part can be omitted too).

I want to provide some tutorials, then someone (konttori, you?) can do some fancy applications :-)
